Aaron Allen is Chief Technical Officer for Fire Protection Service Corporation (FPS) and its affiliated brands Mountain Alarm, Link Interactive, CopperState Fire Protection, and Kenco Security & Technology. In this role, he is in charge of managing teams responsible for maintaining and supporting the organizations IT infrastructure among its 12 branch locations and development teams responsible for creating and integrating systems used by customers, employees, and vendors.

Prior to this position, Aaron helped build a successful programming and consulting company working with the United States Air Force. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems & Technology from Weber State University and a Master’s degree from Brigham Young University in Information Systems Management.

Aaron lives in South Ogden with his wife Crystal, three boys, and one daughter. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, hiking, beach exploring, and collecting and playing board games.

Allen is an Account Executive for Deseret Digital Media. He has the responsibility to help clients with their marketing needs as it pertains to digital. He has been working in the digital arena for well over 7 years. Before that he worked at KSL NewsRadio and was there for 5 years overall. Some of that was shared with the digital space. He has been working in advertising since he graduated from Utah State University in 1993. He graduated with a Business degree in Marketing.

He has been working in advertising in the Salt Lake area his entire career. He has been with different radio groups like Simmons Media, MillCreek Broadcasting and Bonneville Communications and worked on radio stations like FM100.3, 103.5 The Arrow, U92, 101.5 The Eagle and KSL NewsRadio. He enjoys sports and playing most of them. He enjoys golf and is trying to get better. He is married and has 4 children and lives in South Jordan.

Brian is the Vice President of the Central Utah Region for WCF Insurance in charge of branch operations, sales, business retention and development. Brian has been with WCF since 1994 having previously worked in the claims/special investigation department. In 1994, he graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Sociology-Economics, and in 2003 graduated with a Master of Public Administration (MPA) also from the University of Utah. Brian has the designation of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and Certified Fraud Specialist (CFS) from the Association of Certified Fraud Specialists. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for United Cerebral Palsy of Utah.

Bryan works at The Boeing Company’s Salt Lake fabrication facility where he is the Engineering Manager for Design and Liaison Engineering Teams. Bryan and his team are responsible for the design of the Flight Deck structures for Boeing’s commercial airplanes. In addition to his current position as Engineering Manager Bryan has worked as a Design Lead, Program Manager and a Liaison Engineer. Bryan received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University. He started his career in 1987 with McDonnell Douglas Aircraft, which merged with The Boeing Company in 1997.

Along with his love of airplanes Bryan is an avid water-skier and wake boarder. Bryan likes to work out and swim to keep in shape; he also likes to play racquetball and basketball. In his spare time Bryan rebuilds cars with his father and works in his yard fighting the battle against the weeds.

Devin graduated from Utah Valley University in 2012 with a Bachelor of International Business degree. After graduating, he moved for a year to Vancouver, Canada to get international working experience. There he worked for BC Hydro in their customer care department. Since moving back to Utah in 2013, Devin works for WCF Insurance and their agency partners.  Outside of work, he really enjoys golf, snowboarding, and going to concerts.

Drew Burton graduated from SUU with a degree in Hotel, Resort, and Hospitality Management. Although he loved working the front desk at a resort in Brian Head, his life long goal was to be a teacher. He was able to find a job teaching hospitality and event management at a CTE High School in Las Vegas shortly after graduating. Two years ago, he relocated his wife of 10 years and 3 kids to St. George, UT and now teaches Marketing at Pine View HS. He is excited to be part of Utah Business Week, and looks forward to helping students achieve their entrepreneurship goals!

Eric Torgersen has worked for WCF Insurance since 1985, first as a claims adjuster and manager before transferring to the Marketing Department where he currently works as Marketing Supervisor/Account Executive in the Central Utah Office located in Orem. Eric graduated from the University of Utah with degrees in Political Science and German and has earned an Associate in Risk Management from the Insurance Institute of America as well as a Certified Workers Compensation Professional designation from Michigan State University.

Eric lives In South Jordan Utah with his wife Brenda. He has 4 children and two grandchildren. Eric served an LDS mission to Switzerland and recently retired from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir after 20 years of singing with them. He loves golfing, traveling, hiking, and spending time with his wife and family.

Katie is currently President of Corporate Alliance of Salt Lake and is an owner/partner. She joined Corporate Alliance as General Manager of the Salt Lake Hub in 2008 and has thoroughly enjoyed building the market from a couple of hundred members - to several thousand. In 2014, Katie Founded Illuminate –a women’s networking group focused on personal and professional development of women across Utah. Katie formerly served for 20 years as COO of Innovations International. In this capacity, Katie has years of experience with consulting, training and executive coaching, and has traveled the world working with Fortune 200 companies (Merck, Dow Chemical, Anheuser Busch, Kellogg, EDS, Eastman Kodak, Northrup Grumann, etc.). She and her husband, Wayne, enjoy a full life with family, friends, and their work in the community. They have 4 grown children, 2 spouse-in-laws, and 5 grandchildren – call her “Glamma”! Laura Stireman is the Assistant Vice President for the Agency Relations Department for WCF, Utah’s largest worker’s compensation carrier. As AVP of the Agency Relations Department at WCF, Laura oversees the agency relationship functions of WCF’s appointed agency community in Utah, Colorado, Idaho & Nevada.

Laura enjoys the opportunity to work with a variety of people from assisting agents in placing accounts to developing new training strategies. Laura has been with WCF for 20 years. Laura is the current President for the Catholic Schools Diocesan School Board. When Laura is not at work, you can find her on the beach with her family.

Mandy has been with Progrexion for 3 years. She attained this job through connections she met right here at Utah Business Week. Her responsibilities include the processing of credit card payments and daily batch processing. This also includes the review of output for errors and problems and the correction of those problems.

Previously, Mandy worked at Mountain America Credit Union for over 22 years, in branches, training and finally in her last position as a Membership Development Officer in Branch Administration. She was responsible for growing the membership of 60+ branches covering Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho and New Mexico.

She lives in Farmington with her husband, Darin and their 7 children. Her children range in age from 21 years old down to 5 years old. Mandy enjoys Diet Coke and spending time with her immediate and extended family.

Mike Favero has worked at Questar Gas for 14 years. He started with the company in meter reading in 2000, and became Meter Reading Foreman in 2004, responsible for all meter reading functions in Northern Utah. Mike also oversaw and implemented the transition to automated meter reading during that time.

In 2007, he was promoted to Credit and Collections Supervisor in Customer Relations, where he managed all aspects of receivables. Mike also oversaw all field collections, service terminations, and theft of service throughout the company and assumed the role of Credit Manager in 2015.

Mike was promoted to Manager of Customer Relations in 2015 and is responsible for functions involving Credit and Collections and Automated Meter Reading.

Mike has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and a Master’s of Business Administration both from Weber State University. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his four children and wife, farming, and riding four-wheelers and horses.

Tony Rasmussen has worked in financial services for over 25 years and he is currently part of the senior management team at Mountain America Credit Union (MACU). Prior to accepting his current position as SVP Payments/Business Services at MACU, Tony worked in several other operational areas including accounting, training, and manager of information systems. His recent and present areas of focus include Internet and mobile banking, payments, card and ATM services, call center, and business services. Over the years, Tony has been invited to speak at a number of industry related conferences and to other business and community groups on topics ranging from customer service to innovation and technology. Tony’s other interests include film, music, and fitness. Tony is the father of four children; he and his wife make their home in South Jordan, Utah. Tony also attended Utah Business Week as a high school student.
